Bradley Schmidt

Biography

Brad Schmidt is an Automation Chemist currently living in San Jose working with groups across North America. He is was trained as chemist focusing on Inorganic Chemistry while he earned his Ph.D. at Iowa State University in the Sadow Group. In His graduate studies, he primarily focused on the design and synthesis novel ligands and catalysts for a variety of applications. Some of his most exciting projects were on butadiene polymerization.

In his role as an Automation Chemist within Chempseed Technologies, he focuses on transitioning traditionally manual workflows into automated processes. Brad has been involved with dozens of projects across multiple business units, from pharmaceuticals to battery material research, continually striving to simplify and shorten the learning curve while maintaining the key flexibilities of Chemspeed’s automated solutions.
